Terms of service.

Terms of service ·

Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Moity app, published by DataWorkers, which splits shared expenses between the members of a Moity. By using Moity you accept them.

Access to the service

Moity works with no account: a Moity is reachable through a code or an invitation link, held by this device. Signing in with Apple, Google or an e-mail is optional and only serves to find your Moitys again across devices. The service is free and carries no advertising.

Content you add

You remain responsible for the names, amounts, notes and receipts you enter in a Moity. That content is visible to the other members of the same Moity, who hold the same invitation code or their own access. Do not add unlawful, misleading, offensive content, or content infringing the rights of a third party. Content can be reported from the ⋯ menu of the Moity; we review reports and act promptly.

A Moity belongs to its members

A Moity belongs collectively to its members: each can add expenses and read the history. Removing it from your device immediately stops showing its content there, without erasing the data of the other members. Permanent deletion of a Moity on the server can be requested by e-mail. Deleting an account detaches it from shared Moitys but does not delete their data for the other members.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and reliable, without guaranteeing absolute continuity. Features may change; significant changes are documented publicly.

Liability

Moity computes splits and suggests reimbursements but makes no payment and moves no money: reimbursements between members are settled outside the app. Moity cannot be held liable for disputes between members of the same Moity.

Termination

You may stop using Moity at any time, remove your Moitys locally, or delete your account from Profile, then Account. We may suspend access in case of manifestly abusive use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. For any question, read our privacy policy or write to us.
